⚠️ Important Update for AC Buyers in Kolkata
Published
BEE has revised AC star ratings from 2026. Many ACs sold as “5-star” (2025 models) are now equivalent to 3-star under new standards.
If you are planning to buy an AC:
- Check BEE label validity (should be 2026–2027)
- Ensure ISEER rating is 5.4+ for true 5-star
- Avoid old stock unless heavily discounted
This small check can save ₹10,000+ in electricity over time.
